Supply Chain Assessment
We regularly assess producer facilities and require all producers and transporters to prove certifications so we can ensure adherence to all industry and government animal welfare standards.
Our unloading, receiving and holding facilities were designed or improved by Dr. Temple Grandin, Ph.D., one of the nation’s foremost authorities on livestock behavior and handling.
Our processes are monitored and audited by federal inspectors, internal staff and third-party assessors, and include the use of video auditing at both production facilities.
Plant personnel are LAMS (Learning and Assessment Management System)-certified and receive more than 80 hours of animal welfare training.
