Sunday Roast

The pork Sunday Roast (pork knuckle) is a specially selected cut of fresh pork derieved from the ham. Although the pork Sunday Roast is derived from the ham muscle, it should not be mistaken as a cured and smoked ham product – it is a raw, fresh cut that still needs to be cooked appropriately. We call the pork knuckle a “Sunday Roast” because it is a product reminiscent of traditional roasts that are slow-cooked all day long during typical Sunday activities and can be enjoyed at the end of the day with minimal effort. The Sunday Roast is an extremely lean cut, therefore we suggest wet-roasting, such as a slow-cooker or braising, to ensure adequate tenderness and juiciness.
