These little sandwiches pack a flavor punch with brown sugar, apple juice and a touch of bourbon.
Serves 1 to 4
- 4 lb Tender Choice® boneless pork butt roast
- ⅓ cup Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup apple juice
- ½ cup bourbon
- ¾ cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp dry mustard powder
- 12 slider buns
Preheat the oven to 400° F. Place the pork in a casserole dish, rub thoroughly with Worcestershire sauce, then add apple juice and bourbon to the dish. Combine brown sugar with salt, pepper and mustard powder; press the mixture on all sides of the pork. Cover the pan tightly with foil or a lid, then place in the oven and immediately turn the heat down to 200° F. Roast the pork for about 5 hours, or until tender enough to pull apart with a fork. Pile pork onto buns and serve.
